Pelvic Health Physical Therapy Services
Don't just accept that you should live with pelvic pain, urinary leakage, or another disruptive pelvic symptom. Get started today!
Pelvic Health Physical Therapy
Pelvic therapy first begins with a full-body assessment in order to determine all factors that are contributing to your symptoms.
At your first session, I'll outline what we'll need to address to completely resolve your symptoms and get you back to living your best life!
Then at follow-up sessions, we’ll dive in and treat the issues at hand! This looks different for everybody but can include hands-on work (such as massage or dry needling), exercises, stretches, reviewing healthy behaviors, and more.
I love to help my patients resolve:
Urinary leakage during laughing, coughing, sneezing, exercising, and more
Strong urinary urges and urinary frequency and urinary hesitancy
Constipation or fecal incontinence, painful bowel movements
Pelvic pain, pain with intercourse, painful periods
Pelvic heaviness, prolapse, and pressure in the pelvic region
Pain associated with endometriosis, interstitial cystitis, PCOS, and other pelvic disorders
Lower back pain, hip pain, abdominal pain, and more
Pregnancy Physical Therapy
These sessions focus on preparing your body for birth during pregnancy and ensuring that you feel great while you are pregnant. You do not need to live with pain and feeling uncomfortable just because you’re pregnant. Whether this is your first baby or any pregnancy thereafter, pelvic physical therapy during your pregnancy can better your experience while you’re pregnant, help you prepare for and have the best possible outcomes for birth, and give you a space to ask any questions about what to expect while you are expecting.
What we can address in pregnancy physical therapy:
Birth preparation: strengthening, mobility, positioning, and more
Pain associated with your growing baby: lower back pain, hip pain, abdominal pain
SI joint pain/instability
Diastasis concerns and how to ensure there is not an excessive separation of your abdominal muscles during pregnancy
Incontinence or constipation
Safe strengthening during pregnancy as well as how to run, do yoga and pilates, and more while you are pregnant
…and more
Postpartum Physical Therapy
These sessions focus helping you recover well after birth and get back to whatever activities you enjoy. We can also address any symptoms that you may be experiencing - you do not need to live with symptoms just because you’re a mom.
What we can address in postpartum physical therapy:
Pain you may be experiencing: lower back pain, hip pain, abdominal pain, shoulder pain, neck pain
SI joint pain/instability and feeling generally “unstable” in your hip region
Diastasis and abdominal separation
Incontinence or constipation with activities, laughing, coughing, sneezing
Safe strengthening postpartum and returning to running, pilates, yoga, CrossFit, and more
General pelvic pain and discomfort
Prolapse and feelings of heaviness in the pelvic region
C-Section scar healing
Pain with returning to intercourse
…and more
Recovery Care
Recovery sessions involve treatments such as dry needling, cupping, myofascial release, or other forms of hands-on care to facilitate optimal health.
This can be for past patients who feel that they are best able to maintain their progress with occasional hands-on work, for active people who are hoping to reach a specific fitness goal, or for anyone who is not having symptoms but would like a tune-up so that they can feel their best!
Fitness & Wellness
These sessions are for people looking to optimize their health. Sessions are individual to each person's goals but are often focused on maintenance care, which can involve hands-on work for optimal recovery or continued exercise training to optimize health & fitness.
